Past Events in Review

Our first Art For The Animals event was an afternoon featuring live music and local artists to benefit the animals of Butte Humane Society. Many local artists donated works for this event, including Norm Dillinger, Patricia McCroskey, Jake Early, Sten Hoiland, and dozens upon dozens more. Guests enjoyed live performances by such artists as Jimmy Fay and Goddess2U Belly Dance, complimentary appetizers and light food, and wine from Grey Fox Vineyards & Quilici Vineyards and beer from Feather River Brewing Co. • Mutter's Day in the Park - May 10, 2008

The day's festivities began with the annual Mutter's Day Stroll through Lower Bidwell Park. Along with 10 shelter dogs and volunteers, a crowd of nearly 100 dogs and their people participated in the Stroll, with 65 people registering to receive a keepsake photo and BHS bandana. The Mutter's Day Faire featured an agility course for dogs & kids, booths from many local animal-related businesses and organizations, kid's craft and humane education activities, dog contests featuring guest judges Rob Blair and Josh Pitts from Pitts Pack Leading, and demonstrations by Butte County Kennel Club, Butte County Search & Rescue, Chico Police Dept., Corning Animal Shelter, and Florence Soares-Dabalos.
