Trent Burnham, Shelter Manager Trenton Burnham began working for Butte Humane Society in June 2008 after helping run the boarding/rescue facility Canine Retreat. After working as the Kennel Supervisor for close to two years, Trent transferred to East Bay SPCA in Oakland, California as the Shelter Supervisor. When the Shelter Manager position became available at BHS, Trent applied for the position and moved back to Chico. He has one cat named Plum, a BHS alum. |

Angie Wenzl-Blume, Animal Care Manager Angie has been with BHS since June of 2010. She has worked with animals since 1982, and has been a technician, receptionist and manager in veterinary clinics since 1986. When not at the shelter, Angie and her husband care for their three dogs, two cats, 18 chickens, and a 20 acre chemical free farm in Orland. |

Judy Brownfield, Accounting/Human Resources Judy joined BHS in December 2007. She and her husband Joe have two cats adopted from the shelter (Tater and Toes) and four dogs, Lily and Kyra the boxers, Shandy the sheltie, and Butterscotch the fox terrier mix. |

Dustin Alexander, Development Manager Dustin joined BHS in July 2008 to improve our data management systems and procedures, as well as increase our use of technology. He has since moved on to run the Development Department for BHS. At home he has two BHS alumni, Carmen the Manchester terrier mix and Oliver the cat. |

Holli Hargrove, Volunteer Program Manager Holli joined BHS in March 2011 as our Volunteer Program Manager. She is an animal advocate who is currently certified as a pet partner team with her black lab Naomi through Delta Society. |

Lori Wells, Communication & Outreach Associate Lori joined BHS in July 2009 to coordinate our outreach programs and special events. She previously worked with Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Haven Humane Society, and Prescription:Pets in Redding. Lori and her black lab Izzy are a certified Delta Society pet partner team. |

Aaron Michaels, IT Manager Aaron began working at Butte Humane Society in 2010 as our IT Manager. He adopted two kittens, Apollo and Artemis from BHS that have brought a lot of entertainment to his life. |

Giordan Morey, Behavior & Adoption Coordinator Giordan started volunteering at BHS in 2008 after receiving her Animal Behavior College Dog Training and Vet Assistant Certification. She has one dog at home named Disket (White German Shepherd Husky Mix). |

Rachel Caspary, Veterinarian Rachel came to Butte Humane Society in April 2010 to help with our medical needs. She currently works at our Spay and Neuter Clinic at 587 Country Drive. |

Rachel Dell-Agostino, Clinic Assistant Rachel started working with animals as a volunteer at the SF Zoo when she was 12. Reducing pet overpopulation is a cause close to her heart which is what lead her to her current position at Butte Humane Society. Rachel has a whopping total of 26 animals at home, consisting of 5 birds, 2 house rabbits, 11 chickens, 3 horses, 4 dogs and 1 cat (all rescues). Her dream is to see things improve for animals, people and the environment as a whole. |

Beth Davis, Medical Technician 2 Beth has worked with animals since 2004 and has been at BHS since 2010. She has worked as a veterinary technician in Chico as well as Los Angeles. At home she has two special needs cats that are both BHS alumni! |

Shannon Murphy, Customer Service Specialist Shannon joined the front desk staff in October 2007 and became assistant supervisor a year later. In 2010 Shannon took on the role of transportation specialist, then moved to the front desk at the new Spay & Neuter Clinic and Cat Adoption Center. She is also learning to be a wildlife rehabilitator. She previously volunteered at BHS in 2001. Shannon has two animals adopted from BHS, Louie the beagle mix and Beekit the rat terrier/Chihuahua mix. |

Jessica Wilk, Animal Care Specialist Jessica is a returning staff member to Butte Humane Society. Animals are her passion! She has four dogs, Ben and Max plus two of which she adopted from the shelter, Shorty and Daisy. She has 4 cats, Sam, Simba, Ki-Ki, Bobby, and she adopted Sam and Ki-Ki from the the shelter as well. Jessica also has 3 ducks, a bird and a turtle named Jordan! |
