Education Programs
Butte Humane Society offers a Speaker's Program to schools and community groups on animal-related topics.
Topics could include:
- Dog bite prevention
- Responsible pet ownership
- Spay and Neutering
- Environmental concerns
- The importance of an animal shelter in our community
Shelter staff (and possibly animals) will visit the school, classroom or group, and activities will be tailored to fit the needs and age range of the audience.
Many groups also visit our shelter for tours and a wide range of activities. We also invite you to bring your service group to the shelter to gain hands-on experience concerning the day-to-day running of an animal shelter.
Please call Lori Wells, Communication & Outreach Associate, at 530-343-7917 ext. 134 for more information.
