Foster Program Intern

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary role of the Foster Program Intern is to assist with the design, implementation, and management of the foster program within the mission and goals of Butte Humane Society.  You will assist with the Foster Coordinator’s chief responsibility of managing the BHS foster program, which includes marketing and recruitment; supervision and training of individual and group volunteers.  You will assist with management of all foster program-related communications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Review foster applications

·         Assist with foster parent training activities

·         Call overdue foster parents to see why the fosters haven’t been returned

·         Assist with the development and provide Information Sessions to potential foster parents and interested community members.

·         Assist with the design, maintenance and distribution foster information packets.

·         Assist with the development training curriculum.

·         Assist with the ensure attendance of fosters and ongoing trainings.

·         Be a contact point for foster parents

·         Assist with general office duties when needed

·         Help at special events when needed
