Graphic Design Intern

We are in need of a Graphic Design intern. Duties may include the following (other duties may be assigned)

*Responsible for providing graphic design support to the Executive Director and assist with the design and implementation of our many community outreach design projects.

*Creating and designing advertisements, billboards, newsletters, website banners, posters, flyers etc. for the Butte Humane Society.

*Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, management and the public at all times. Consistently work with co-workers and the public in a courteous and professional manner to promote positive relationships and foster a team atmosphere.

*Be prepared to share information to strengthen awareness of animal welfare issues and the society’s mission. This would include providing information to the public about Butte Humane animal service programs via telephone, email and ground mail.

*Assist with on / off site events as scheduled.

*Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Able to meet in the evenings for meetings and must be reliable. Letter of recommendation will be offered after completion of internship and credit for classes can be given if available.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Individual will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Will be asked to set up for events, including stretching, bending and stooping, and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
